Strawberries and Cream Recipe – You are Berry Special

Every year, the green lawns are mowed down, the rackets are strung and people camp outside one of the most prestigious establishments in England and covert to all things British, complaining, queuing and strawberries.

Yes, Strawberries.

Wimbledon is renowned for its strawberries and cream and this year is no exception.

For those that didn’t get tickets and want to cherish this moment, here are some strawberry inspired recipes.strawberries-3431122_1920

Classic Strawberries and Cream Milkshake



Place the ice cream, and 1 cup strawberries into a blender. Blend until well combined. Pour the strawberry shake into two glasses, top each shake with 2 tablespoons whipped cream and 1 sliced strawberry.

Strawberry Mojito


  • 1 cup of strawberries
  • 2 sprigs of fresh mint
  • 3 tblspns of honey
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • Ice


Make a syrup by combining the honey with water and mint for 5 minutes. Leave to stand until cooled down. Remove the mint leaves and add the syrup, strawberries and lime to a blender. Add ice to a glass and top with mixture. Garnished with mint sprigs and slices of fresh lime if desired.

Strawberries and Cream Smoothie


  • 1 cup coconut milk (or any plant-based milk)
  • 1/4 cup raw cashews, soaked in water for 2-4 hours
  • 8-10 frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 3-4 medjool dates, pitted. (sub 2 teaspoons maple syrup)


  1. Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend together until creamy and smooth.
  2. If it’s too thick, add a bit more milk.
  3. Top with some fresh coconut whip, if desired.
